The Stelton To Go Click is a double-walled stainless steel vacuum travel mug designed in Copenhagen with a patented 360-degree push-click lid. Instead of drinking through a narrow plastic spout, a single downward press opens the entire perimeter rim so you can sip from any angle just like a ceramic cup, keeping coffee hot for 4 hours or cold for 8 hours.
Since 1960, Danish design house Stelton – famous for Arne Jacobsen’s Cylinda-line and Erik Magnussen’s vacuum jug – has focused on stripping unnecessary ridges and latches off everyday tableware.
The To Go Click applies that minimalist geometry to morning commutes and features in our guide to coffee rituals across Europe.
How does the 360-degree Smart Click lid work without a drinking hole?
Traditional travel mugs force you to hunt for a small slot on the lid, which often drips coffee onto your coat. On the Stelton mug, the top disk acts as a mechanical valve.
Press the centre once and the disk drops slightly, opening a continuous gap around the entire 360-degree rim. Press it again until it clicks, and the silicone gasket seals shut.
Does it fit under a home espresso machine and inside car cup holders?
Yes, depending on which of the two sizes you choose. Both share a tapered 7.2 cm base that fits standard European car holders and bike cages:
- 200 ml (6.8 oz) compact model: Stands 14 cm tall, sliding directly under the portafilter of compact home espresso machines.
- 400 ml (13.5 oz) tall model: Stands 17 cm tall with an 8.3 cm top diameter, sized for long train journeys and filter coffee.
Can you put the powder-coated body in the dishwasher?
The two-part BPA-free plastic lid disassembles completely for the top rack of the dishwasher so old milk never hides inside the spring mechanism. The double-walled 18/8 stainless steel body should be washed by hand with warm water to protect the matte powder-coated finish and vacuum seal.
